Emergency phone lines are down, and phone lines are highly congested. Residents are advised to stay inside, off the roadways, and away from any trees where power wires may be present. Major Electric Damage and emergency issues for CWLP can be reported to Dispatch by calling 217-789-2121 for voicemail or 217-789-2393 for overflow reports.
Even in locations where electricity is down, customers should always treat all lines as live and should never try to remove trees or other debris from them. Traffic lights may be out, so drivers should approach with caution and prepare to treat intersections like a four-way stop.
