In Cedar Park, first responders are attempting to put out a sizable brush fire. The fire, according to Cedar Park police, is close to 12820 W. Parmer Lane.
The Parmer Lane Fire is estimated to be 120 acres in size and is still uncontained as of August 8 at 10:30 p.m., according to the Texas A&M Forest Service. This fire now has four alarms, according to the fire chief.

According to the fire chief of Cedar Park, a call reporting a grass fire came in at 6:18 p.m. Firefighters arrived on the site shortly after that.
Two more apartment buildings were damaged, and one was completely destroyed.
The Whitestone Landing neighbourhood, the Bexley at Silverado apartment complex, and adjacent businesses were also asked to evacuate.

Firefighters are still keeping an eye out for spot fires in nearby regions and putting out any brush fires that are moving forward. An active brush fire is being contained by bulldozers from Texas A&M Forest Services.

Responding to this crisis are all resources that are available. More than 20 state and municipal authorities are there, as well as many reaction units from Cedar Park.
No serious injuries have been recorded. According to the fire chief in Cedar Park, one injury was mild.
The Red Cross is aiding those affected and has begun operating a shelter for individuals who have been displaced.
