Democrats Have High Hopes For Lauren Boebert In 2024 Presidential Race

Who, from her initial bid for the House of Representatives in 2020, has been closely associated with Trump, asserted that “Democrats realize they won’t be able to defeat our policies at the ballot box in 2024 therefore think this is their final option.”

Trump announced on Truth Social early on Saturday that he anticipated being detained on Tuesday due to a Manhattan District Attorney’s Office inquiry into payments allegedly made to Stormy Daniels. In the case of his arrest, Trump also urged protests. Lauren Boebert also tweeted on the ballot box in 2024.

Boebert compared Trump’s legal status to his 2016 rival Hillary Clinton, the former secretary of state once investigated by the FBI for allegedly storing classified data on a private server.

Boebert commented, “It is absurd that Hillary Clinton and others go about their business carelessly while President Trump is subjected to hell on earth.

Afterward, Boebert urged people to fight “the political persecution of President Trump” in another tweet.

Republicans from other parties have come out against what they see as an effort to use the criminal justice system as a weapon against the former president.

The impending arrest was called “an outrageous abuse of power” and “politically motivated,” according to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who also declared that he was “directing relevant committees to immediately investigate” whether federal funds were being used to undermine our democracy by interfering with elections through politically motivated prosecutions.

The author and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, who is challenging Trump for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024, has denounced the anticipated indictment of the president and urged his rivals to oppose “politically empowered prosecutors eliminating the opposition of a ruling party using arrest power.”
